Dr. Collop on behalf of the AASM submitted a letter to the Inspector General that proposed a new model of care for sleep apnea (see letter here). In the letter they recommended the development of a safe harbor for sleep physicians to order and provide DME to Medicare patients for the treatment of sleep apnea.
